About Celestial Care
Celestial Care provides children's residential homes for young people aged 8 to 17 who need stability, understanding and a genuine fresh start. We deliberately keep our homes small — Nova House is a single-occupancy home caring for one child or young person at a time — so that every child is known properly by a consistent team who do not change every few months.
Our values of safety, warmth, ambition and integrity shape everything from how we recruit to how we mark a young person's smallest wins. We work in honest partnership with local authorities, schools, health services and families, and we tell commissioners the truth about what is working and what is not.

Every home is thoughtfully furnished and located on an ordinary residential street with no signage and nothing that marks it out, and is developed to meet the standards expected of children's residential services in England.

A warm, comfortable family home with welcoming living spaces and a permanent team who know the child living there properly. Nova House suits a young person who needs a small, low-arousal, single-occupancy environment and a serious focus on getting back into education.
Our approach
Our practice model is trauma-informed and deliberately practical. It has to survive a difficult Tuesday evening, not just look good in a policy document.
We understand behaviour as communication. Staff are trained to respond with curiosity and consistency rather than control, and to hold on when things are hard.
Proactive strategies, predictable boundaries and restorative conversations replace punitive sanctions. Physical intervention is a last resort, always reviewed.
Rigorous policies, safer recruitment, weekly risk reviews and confident multi-agency working keep young people protected without making home feel institutional.
Cooking, budgeting, laundry, travel, appointments and healthy routines are learned by doing them alongside adults who make them feel normal.
Staged planning from age 15 onwards, at the young person's pace, so that leaving care is a planned transition rather than a cliff edge.
Where it is safe and wanted, we work hard to keep families, siblings and trusted adults meaningfully involved in a young person's life.

Common questions
We support children and young people aged 8 to 17 on admission, with continued support through transition into semi-independence where that is the right plan. Nova House, our first home, is a single-occupancy home for one child or young person aged 11 to 17.
Celestial Care is committed to providing safe, high-quality, child-centred care. We are working towards Ofsted registration and have developed our home, policies, procedures and care practices to meet the high standards expected of children's residential services in England. We will continue to meet and maintain those standards throughout the registration process and beyond.
Our placements team responds to every referral enquiry within one working day, and we can complete an impact assessment and confirm suitability within 48 hours in most cases. Emergency placements are considered on their merits.
Yes. We accept referrals from local authorities across the UK, though we always consider carefully whether a placement at distance is in the young person's best interests before agreeing to it.
