Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility at Celestial Care. Every young person in our homes has the right to be safe, listened to and taken seriously. We are working towards Ofsted registration and have developed our home, policies, procedures and care practices to meet the high standards expected of children's residential services in England.
We review our safeguarding practice continually, act on independent feedback and learn from every concern raised. Our commitment is to meet and maintain the standards expected by Ofsted throughout the registration process and beyond.
All staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks, full employment history verification, references and structured safer-recruitment interviewing before starting work.
Safeguarding, child protection, online safety, exploitation awareness and de-escalation training are mandatory and refreshed regularly for all team members.

We work openly with local authority safeguarding teams, the police, health services and schools, and we notify the relevant bodies of significant events without delay.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is available during office hours, with an on-call manager outside them.
